Extracurricular activities

Extracurricular activities give students the opportunity to develop their cultural, artistic or sporting interests beyond the classroom

Students can sign up for a variety of extracurricular activities on Wednesday afternoons. They can also do choir, orchestra, chess and team sports during their lunchtime break on other weekdays.

All extracurricular activities begin on September 15th.

Places may be limited for some activities. They will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Activities that do not have a minimum number of participants may be cancelled.

Description of the activities

Infant school

Handcrafts in French

Experimentation and creation through various artistic techniques. Plastic language helps developing creativity and imagination. By Mme. Naziha Ben Bey.

Dance

Works on rhythm and music coordination, flexibility, strength, balance, posture, body layout and space-time orientation.

Swimming

Introduction to swimming for students at the Infant School and the first cycle of Primary School. In a saltwater pool especially designed for the little ones, each teacher works with a small group of up to 4 students. By Penguins Pool.

Primary School

Body and movement workshop in French

Works on rhythm and music coordination, flexibility, strength, balance, posture, body layout and space-time orientation.

Little Japan

Introduction to the artisan techniques of Japanese culture: Origami (paper folding art), Kateika (cooking, cleaning and housekeeping), Saiho (sewing), Amimono (weaving). By Ms. Yuko Nakajima.

Chess

Helps foster intellectual development and values, improves the capacity for reasoning and creativity, and increases concentration. By Escuela Edami.

Sports school

Introduction to sports through popular games and first contact with team sports. By Sras. Marta Gran, Isabel Buenosvinos, and Sr. Xavi Saura.

Rhythmic Gymnastics

Works on psychomotor skills, knowing one’s body and aspects of its functional structure. By Diverjoc.

Swimming

Theatre in English

The aim is for students to acquire a greater capacity in linguistic and bodily expression. Reinforces and develops oral and body expression, encouraging individual creativity, teamwork, respect and the joy of sharing. By Ms. Victoria Cayuela.

Music

Introduction to musical language through games and activities. Students Foster their rhythmic, auditory, vocal, sensory and creative abilities.
